Acupuncture
is one of the oldest, most widely used healing arts in the world. It works with your body’s own energy, which we call “qi” (pronounced chee), and is a safe and gentle way to prevent or recover from a variety of health conditions. Acupuncture involves the insertion of hair thin needles into specific locations on the body, in order to stimulate the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It can remedy acute or chronic ailments, relieve pain, decrease inflammation and strengthen the immune system.
Lisa uses a particular style of acupuncture that combines the most powerful influences from Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and trigger point techniques. Diagnostic tools that are used during the assessment portion of treatment may include: verbal questions, pulse taking, observation of your tongue, and palpation of your abdomen. All of these methods assist in making your diagnosis accurate and your treatment effective.
