Lisa (Farwell) Jensen, L.Ac., MAOM, Dipl.Ac.
is an NCCAOM board certified and state licensed practitioner of acupuncture & Chinese herbal medicine in Massachusetts. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo College in New York, Lisa obtained a Master’s degree from the New England School of Acupuncture in Massachusetts. Lisa’s post-graduate training has included a five-month course of clinical study in China, at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2009, she traveled to South Korea, where she attended clinical observations and lectures on special topics in acupuncture. In addition, Lisa studied advanced formula-writing in Chinese herbal medicine under the guidance of Dr. Tao Xie in Boston. Lisa is currently pursuing additional classical herbal training with Master Herbalist Sharon Weizenbaum at White Pine Institute in Amherst, MA. For many years, Lisa was also a teaching assistant and instructor at the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA.
Lisa’s other professional interests include mindfulness meditation and yoga, and she strives to create a calm, peaceful atmosphere in the treatment room . She has extensive experience in treating issues of women’s health, digestive disorders, and chronic pain. Most recently, after having 2 children of her own, Lisa received additional training in pediatric acupuncture (non-insertive) and Chinese herbal medicine for pediatric conditions. She is continually amazed at just how effective this medicine is at treating our youngest family members, and is now proud to be able to offer this high quality care to your whole family.
